Job Description
As an Associate Engineer_SW, you’ll be involved in the design and development of software for Qualcomm’s advanced mobile chipsets and platforms, working with cutting-edge technologies and diverse global teams.
- Development of real-time embedded software and device drivers
- Mobile software development for Android, Windows Mobile, or Linux
- Work on Multimedia Technologies (Audio/Video codecs, Imaging), Wireless Modem Technologies (4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, SON), Platform Level SW (Linux, Android, Windows, BSP), and IoT Technologies (Connected Cameras, Smart Assistants, Drones, VR/AR)
- Develop software and firmware for embedded platforms
- Participate in communication protocol stack and kernel/device driver development
- Utilize strong understanding of OS concepts, data structures, C/C++, object-oriented design, and wireless network standards
- Collaborate with teams, solve problems, and communicate effectively
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Communication Engineering, or ECE
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of OS concepts, Data structures
- Proficiency in C/C++ and object-oriented programming
- Experience with Linux/UNIX, Kernel Development, Protocols (TCP/UDP/IP/SIP/RTP)
- Understanding of wireless standards (CDMA/GSM/UMTS/LTE)
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
