Job Purpose
As a Software Development Engineer, you will develop, test, and maintain software applications that support business operations and enhance user experience. You’ll collaborate with senior developers to design and implement new features, troubleshoot and debug issues, and ensure robust and efficient solutions. This role is essential in supporting the smooth functioning of software systems and the advancement of business technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior developers to design and implement new features
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing software
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing
- Create and maintain documentation for software applications
- Continuously learn and apply new programming techniques and technologies
- Assist in developing and optimizing machine learning models
- Analyze large datasets to extract insights and trends
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for actionable business insights
- Ensure network security and compliance with industry standards
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and solutions
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, protecting company data and systems
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- Knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL)
- Understanding of network protocols and security measures
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and methodologies
- Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
